consistency

Here are metrics from 5 of my LinkedIn posts.

  • 4 June - 1,037 impressions & 9 engagements

  • 2 June - 135,198 impressions & 863 engagements

  • 1 June - 13,267 impressions & 98 engagements

  • 28 May - 87,739 impressions & 602 engagements

  • 26 May - 5,608 impressions & 50 engagements

My reach varies from just 1k to 135k impressions. That means some posts get 135x the reach of others.

So what? The point is never get too attached to outcomes.

You can only control what you write and how consistently you show up. So set a goal and stick to it for at least 3 months, even if that's just once a week.

Don't post twice, get little engagement, and conclude "I suck at LinkedIn" or "I tried it and it didn't work for me."

Sometimes I think a post will flop and it goes viral. Other times I think it's a banger and it flops.

The key is to keep showing up.

A lot of sellers I train don't post. They tell me: "I'm scared my post will get 0 engagement."

So I ask them: do you stop sending emails just because some people don't reply?
