agents
The whole concept of AI agents that replace humans is BS.
AI will take millions of jobs as we’re seeing with driverless cars. But a Waymo isn’t the same as a normal taxi.
A big part of a car journey is the people you share it with.
When I was travelling in Vietnam 3 years ago, I got a taxi from Hanoi airport. The guy didn’t speak any English but was super friendly. He used Google translate to keep asking us questions like:
“What are your names? Where are you from? What are you doing here?”
In the process I found out that he was a born and bred local from Hanoi. So I asked him the best place to get pho and Vietnamese coffee.
It was the best pho I’ve ever had and the best Egg Coffee of the trip. These were local spots you'd never find on AI, Google or social media.
AI is great for the boring shit we don’t want to do. The long drives. The research. The legal contracts.
But human conversation and local wisdom is something that it can’t replace.
So if you’re a sales leader thinking about how to get your team to use AI effectively, think what are things that AI can’t do better than your team:
Meeting clients in person, going to events, calling them and connecting deeper with information that is NOT ON THE INTERNET. Then get your AI tools to focus on the admin, editing, research etc. and let salespeople be human.
This is what will separate the wheat from the chaff in 2026.
